Every bag and every small leather good on this site takes a monogram, free, up to three characters. See monogrammed bags and personalised totes for the two people order most. It is set by hand with heated brass type before the bag is boxed, which is why it adds about a working day and why it does not look like a sticker.

Three finishes

Blind press is the letters pressed into the leather with no colour at all. It is the most restrained and it is what we recommend to most people, because it reads as a maker’s mark rather than a label and it never looks dated. Gold foil is warm and traditional and sits beautifully on tan and brown hides. Silver foil is cooler and modern and works best on black and grey. On heavily textured pebbled leather, blind press is the only one that stays crisp, and we will tell you that at checkout rather than after.

Where it goes

On bags, either the inner panel facing you when the bag is open, which is the discreet option, or the front face low and to the right, which is the visible one. On small goods it goes on the front. You choose on the product page, and if you leave it to us we default to the inner panel.

What to put

Initials in the order first, middle, last is the standard. The traditional monogram style, where the surname initial is larger and sits in the middle, is something we can do on request, so put it in the order notes. A short word works too, and we have pressed plenty. Three characters is the limit because beyond that the type block is wider than the panel.

The honest caveat

A monogrammed bag cannot be resold, so while our 30 day return policy covers personalised bags exactly the same as any other, we do genuinely take the loss on them. That is not a reason to be nervous, it is a reason to check the letters on the confirmation email, which we send before the press is set.

Gifting
