We warrant the things we control: how the bag is put together. We do not warrant the things time and use do to leather, because those are the point of buying leather.

Covered, for the life of the bag

• Stitching that comes undone anywhere on the bag.
• Handles or strap anchors pulling away from the body.
• Seams separating.

Covered for five years

• Zips failing, jamming or losing teeth.
• Buckles, clasps, rivets and D rings breaking or shearing.
• Lining seams failing.

Not covered, and why

• Scratches, scuffs and colour change. This is patina and it is what full grain does. See full grain leather.
• Water marks. Leather is skin. See care for how to even them out.
• Damage from heat. A bag dried on a radiator or left in a car in summer can crack, and nothing reverses that.
• Overloading. A bag rated for a laptop carrying a stack of books will distort.
• Lining worn through from keys. Repairable, chargeable, and easily prevented with a key pouch.
• Bags bought secondhand. The warranty stays with the original purchase.

Making a claim

Email us a photo of the problem and your order number. We will tell you within a working day whether it is a warranty repair, a chargeable repair or something you can fix at home in ten minutes, which it sometimes is. If the bag needs to come to us we send a label. Most repairs take one to two weeks plus shipping.

Repairs outside the warranty

We will repair any bag we made, at any age, for a fair price. Restitching a seam, replacing a zip, replacing a strap or redoing burnished edges are all routine. It is almost always cheaper than replacing the bag, and it is the reason we build them to be taken apart.
