The first work bag
For most graduates the bag that matters is the one that carries a laptop to work every day. Size it to the machine: a 13 or 14-inch laptop and a 15 or 16-inch need different bags. A structured bag reads well in an office; a messenger suits someone who walks or cycles. Our personalized briefcases list the laptop each one takes.
For every day and weekends
If he does not carry a laptop, a crossbody or sling gets more use: the Ely belt bag ($115), the Skipton slim sling ($145), the Hexham large sling ($175) or the Thirsk crossbody ($195), which takes an 11-inch tablet.
What to press
His initials in a blind press are the classic. The graduation year inside the bag is a nice private detail; put it in the order notes and we will confirm it fits.
Timing
Every bag is made to order. Smooth leather and suede bags leave the workshop in 3 to 5 working days, hand woven bags in 4 to 6, and a monogram adds one working day. US orders then travel 3 to 5 working days by tracked express courier, and they ship duty paid, so there is nothing to pay on the doorstep. If the date you are buying for is less than two weeks away, ask us first and we will tell you honestly whether it will arrive in time.
Every bag can be exchanged within 30 days, monogram or not, and stitching is covered for life. See all personalized leather gifts.
