The tape is dyed to match the leather rather than contrasted, so the closure reads as part of the bag instead of hardware bolted onto it. The Lorne is the full size zip top in large and medium, built around a laptop. The Juno is the small zip tote at 26cm, which is a day bag rather than a work bag. Between them they cover most of what people want a closure for.
About 200 grams, a slightly stiffer opening for the first few weeks while the leather relaxes, and one more thing that can break. Against that: the zip is the part we guarantee for as long as you own the bag, and it is repairable rather than replaceable.
