What unique means here
We don't use loud prints or logos. Each bag is cut when you order it, from a full-grain hide that keeps its own marks, and stitched by hand, so no two look the same after a year of use. The shapes in this collection, the Kendal bucket, the Ripley half-moon saddle bag and the Tilly mini, are the ones you see least on other shoulders.
Make it yours
Three initials pressed free, in gold, silver or blind. Choose a colour that changes with age, such as tan or cognac, and the bag becomes your own over time. Personalised bags keep the full 30 day return window.

The leather
Natural marks on full-grain, such as healed scratches, grain changes and small scars, are left on the bag rather than sanded off. That's part of what makes each one unique. No two hides look the same.
How it is made
Each bag is made when you order it, not built for stock. A small team in our own workshop cuts and hand stitches it, so your bag was made for your order.
Colours
Colours that change make a bag more personal over time. Tan and cognac look completely different after a year of use, and olive and oxblood are less common in shops.
Initials, delivery and returns
Free initials are the simplest way to make a bag your own. You can choose gold, silver or blind. Delivery is 3 to 5 working days, and personalised bags still get 30 day returns.
Care
Let a unique bag age as it likes. Condition it lightly so the patina builds evenly, and keep it out of plastic covers, which trap moisture.
Shapes you will not see everywhere
High-street shops are full of the same totes and crossbodies. These shapes are the less common ones. The Kendal is a drawstring bucket with a real oval base. The Ripley is a half-moon saddle bag with a brass turn-lock. The Tilly is a tiny structured top-handle bag. None of them uses printed logos. What makes them distinctive is the shape, the hand stitching and how the leather ages.
Why made to order matters
A bag made after you order it hasn't sat in a warehouse for months drying out under strip lights. It's cut from a hide chosen for that bag and finished shortly before it ships. It also means we only cut what's ordered, so less leather is wasted on stock that never sells. The trade-off is a short wait of 5 to 7 working days before dispatch. For most people that's a small price for a bag made for them.
Gift buying: choosing a unique handbag for someone else
When buying for someone else, choose shape before colour. A crossbody saddle bag like the Ripley suits most people and most lifestyles, and a mini like the Tilly is the safest choice if you don't know what they carry. For colour, tan and cognac suit most people and change with use, which makes the bag feel like theirs. Initials make it a personal gift. If it isn't quite right, the 30 day return window gives them time to swap.
Caring for natural marks
Natural marks such as healed scratches and small changes in the grain are part of full-grain leather and get less obvious as the bag darkens. Don't try to cover them with polish or coloured cream. That builds a layer on the surface and hides the very character that makes the bag unique. A neutral conditioner helps the marks blend with the rest of the hide over a few months of use.
