Description
Chestnut gives the Juno a warmth that the other small bags do not have. The red undertone catches in the grain along the front panel, so even at this size the bag has some movement in it rather than reading as a flat block of colour.
26cm across, 20cm high, and a base 11cm deep that does not taper. The honest list is a phone, a purse, keys, glasses and a bottle. Nothing with a screen bigger than a paperback. Handle drop is 18cm, which sits high under the arm rather than hanging at the hip.
Buy it if your everyday load is small and you want it closed, on a table, standing up by itself.
The leather
Chestnut is dyed warm, with a red undertone that comes from the dye rather than from a surface finish. Under a warm bulb it goes almost auburn; in shade it reads as a deep tan. Your bag will not match the photograph exactly.
How it is made
The base is cut as its own reinforced panel, so a full load sits flat instead of on a fold. The seams that carry weight are hand stitched rather than machined, because a handle is what fails first on a tote. Lined in heavy cotton twill with a single zip pocket and a card slot, because at this size five pockets is five places to lose something. Expect 3 to 5 working days in the workshop before it is boxed and on its way.

Can I carry a laptop in this bag?
No, and that is deliberate. At 26cm wide and 11cm deep it takes a tablet at most. If you need a laptop bag, look at the Lorne or the large Marlow instead.
Does the Juno stand up on its own?
Yes. The base is a single reinforced panel and the sides are structured, so it stays upright on a table or a floor whether it is full or empty.
Will the chestnut colour change with use?
It deepens about half a shade in the first year, most visibly where your hand rests on the handles. It will not change dramatically the way our vegetable tanned tan does.
How long will it take to reach me?
Every bag is made to order and leaves the workshop in 3 to 5 working days. We ship worldwide with tracking and the checkout shows the arrival window for your country before you pay.
How do I know this is genuinely full grain leather?
Look at the photographs of the surface. Full grain keeps the original grain, including old scars and insect marks, because nothing has been sanded off and sprayed over. If a leather panel is perfectly uniform it has been corrected. Ours are not.
