Description
Chocolate is the Juno for daily use rather than occasional use. It is the colourway we see come back for monogramming most often, usually because someone bought one and then wanted a second for a sister or a daughter.
The opening runs 26cm, the base is 11cm deep and the body stands 20cm high. Phone, purse, keys, glasses, a small notebook and a 500ml bottle. No laptop, by design, and we would rather say so here than in a footnote. Expect 18cm of handle drop, enough that it sits high under the arm rather than hanging at the hip.
It is for the days you are not carrying work, and it is the bag most often bought as a gift.
The leather
The dye goes right through this hide and takes evenly, which is rare in a dark brown. It looks consistent across a large panel where a lighter brown would show variation.
How it is made
Brass hardware throughout, unplated, because plating wears through to grey exactly where your hand goes. Load bearing seams are saddle stitched by hand, two needles through one hole, so a cut thread stays put instead of running. Inside it is one zip pocket, one card slot and room, which is the right answer for a small bag. Cut, stitched and finished to order in 3 to 5 working days.

Questions people ask about this bag
Can I carry a laptop in this bag?
No, and that is deliberate. At 26cm wide and 11cm deep it takes a tablet at most. If you need a laptop bag, look at the Lorne or the large Marlow instead.
Does the Juno stand up on its own?
Yes. The base is a single reinforced panel and the sides are structured, so it stays upright on a table or a floor whether it is full or empty.
Will this colour scratch or scuff easily?
It is aniline dyed full grain, so the colour runs through the leather instead of sitting on top as a film. A scratch does not leave a pale line, it buffs back with a thumb or a drop of conditioner.
Is the monogram really free?
Yes, on every bag, including this one. Three letters in gold foil, silver foil or a blind press with no colour. It adds about a day before dispatch and we email you a proof of the placement first.
Can I return it if I have my initials pressed on it?
No. A monogrammed bag cannot be resold, so it is final sale. Unmonogrammed bags can go back for 60 days in unused condition and we pay the return postage inside the US.
