Description
Cognac is the Juno that most often becomes someone’s default bag rather than their small one. The warm brown reads as casual in daylight and dressed up at night, and the zip means you can hand it to someone or hook it on a chair without thinking about it.
Measured properly: a 26cm opening over a 11cm base, standing 20cm tall. Phone, purse, keys, glasses, a small notebook and a 500ml bottle. No laptop, by design, and we would rather say so here than in a footnote. Drop is 18cm: sits high under the arm rather than hanging at the hip.
It is for the days you are not carrying work, and it is the bag most often bought as a gift.
The leather
A wax finish over full grain, with no lacquer on top of it. The surface picks up a low shine where you handle it and stays matte everywhere else.
How it is made
Handles are set through the body panel and riveted in solid brass at both ends, never glued to a tab. Hand stitching where it carries weight, machine stitching where it does not, which is an honest division of labour. Twill lined with a zip pocket and a slot for a card, and nothing else competing for the space. Made when you order, which takes 3 to 5 working days, and a monogram adds roughly a day to that.

Questions people ask about this bag
Can I carry a laptop in this bag?
No, and that is deliberate. At 26cm wide and 11cm deep it takes a tablet at most. If you need a laptop bag, look at the Lorne or the large Marlow instead.
Does the Juno stand up on its own?
Yes. The base is a single reinforced panel and the sides are structured, so it stays upright on a table or a floor whether it is full or empty.
Will the cognac colour change with use?
It deepens about half a shade in the first year, most visibly where your hand rests on the handles. It will not change dramatically the way our vegetable tanned tan does.
How do I know this is genuinely full grain leather?
Look at the photographs of the surface. Full grain keeps the original grain, including old scars and insect marks, because nothing has been sanded off and sprayed over. If a leather panel is perfectly uniform it has been corrected. Ours are not.
Is the monogram really free?
Yes, on every bag, including this one. Three letters in gold foil, silver foil or a blind press with no colour. It adds about a day before dispatch and we email you a proof of the placement first.
