The leather

What does full grain actually mean? The top layer of the hide with nothing sanded off, so the natural grain and marks stay. It is the strongest part and the only one that develops a patina. Full explanation in full grain leather.

Will it scratch? Yes, and most scratches buff out with a thumb or fade into the patina. If that would bother you, choose pebbled leather, which hides marks, or black, which changes least.

Is it waterproof? No, and nothing that is still leather is. It handles rain fine, it may mark, and the marks usually even out as it dries.

Monogramming

Is it really free? Yes, on everything, up to three characters, in gold foil, silver foil or blind press.

Can I change the letters after ordering? Until we send the confirmation email, which is before the press is set. After that it is permanent.

Can I return a monogrammed bag? Yes, same 30 days as anything else. See returns.

Sizing

Will my laptop fit? Every product page lists the internal opening and the base width separately. As a rule, a 13 inch machine needs 35cm of opening and a 15 or 16 inch needs 39cm plus a flat base. More in the size guide.

Which bag should I start with? Match the shape you already carry rather than the one you like the look of. A tote if you carry a lot, a crossbody if you want hands free, a medium shoulder bag if you want one bag for everything.

Orders and delivery

How long until it ships? One to two working days, or two to three with a monogram. Then 3 to 5 working days in the US. Full table on shipping and delivery.

Do I pay import duty? Not in the US. Internationally it depends on your country and is payable on delivery.

Care and repair

How often should I condition it? Two or three times a year. More than that softens the fibres and the bag loses shape. See care.

Do you repair bags? Any bag we made, at any age. Stitching is free for life under the warranty, everything else is charged fairly.
